The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 8 earlier in November and the Huawei Mate 8 Goes on Sale in China Today. The base model of the Mate 8 starts at a price tag of CNY 2,999 which is approximately equal to Rs 31,100. This announcement about the smartphone was made by He Gang, the head of the smartphone division of Huawei.

Huawei Mate 8 Pricing Details: The latest Huawei Flagship smartphone, the Mate 8 will be available in three variants. The base variant will feature 3GB of RAM space along with 32GB of internal storage and it carries a price tag of CNY 2,999.
Above this are the 64GB and 128GB internal storage variants, both of which boost of 4GB of RAM space, among these the 64GB variant will be available for CNY 3,699 (Rs 38,500 approx) and the 128GB variant will be available at CNY 4,399 (Rs 45,800 approx).
The Huawei Mate 8 will also be available in a Champagne Edition, which will be available at a price of CNY 6,888 (Rs 71,700 approx).
Huawei Mate 8 Specifications & Features: The Huawei Mate 8 features an ‘aerospace-grade’ aluminum build and with that, it has 2.5D glass as well. The smartphone features a fingerprint scanner on the back and a large 4,000mAh battery. Other than these worth highlighting features, the Mate 8 sports a large 6 inch IPS display on the front with full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The Huawei Mate 8 is powered by Huawei’s own octa-core, Kirin 950 processor (Cortex-A72 quad-core at 2.3GHz + quad-core Cortex-A53 at 1.8GHz), this is paired with the Mali-T880 GPU.
Huawei Mate 8 also uses an i5 co-processor for features such as speech recognition, functions of a sensor hub, low power consumption, fused location provider (FLP) navigation and reduction in location-based power consumption.
In the camera department, the Huawei Mate 8 features a 16 MP primary camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, it has a Sony IMX298 image sensor and comes with features such as Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). On the front, the smartphone houses an 8 MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture and having the Sony IMX179 sensor.
Huawei will reveal information about the global availability and other pricing details of their flagship Huawei Mate 8 during CES 2016 in January.
