Huawei would like to ride on the familiarity it will get in the western market thanks to the Huawei-made Nexus 6P and its upcoming Smartphone Huawei Mate 8 is the perfect device for it to come up with to ride on the success of the Nexus 6P when it starts sale in a few days.

The Huawei Mate 8 has seen a number of rumors doing the rounds and a fair share of its leaked photos in the past few months. Recently a report from China had also claimed that the electronics contract manufacturing company Foxconn has started the mass production of the Huawei Mate 8 and the phone is said to see a commercial release in November or December.

Recently a new source, confirmed most of the previously leaks and provides us a better idea of what the Huawei Mate has to offer and its specs sheet.

As we already saw in some previous leaks, the Huawei Mate 8 will sport a large 6.0 inch display with a brilliant pixel density of 1440p and the smartphone will be powered by the company’s in house custom Kirin 950 chipset. This chipset is believed to have a 16nm FinFET production process and a new big.LITTLE architecture, which is believed to provide immense power to the device. There are 4 Cortex-A72 cores that are clocked at2.4 GHz, in addition to that the four extra Cortex-A53 cores clock 2.0 GHz. A Geekbench result also leaked and going by that the Kirin 950 might be faster than Samsung’s Exynos 7420, the chip powering all its latest high-end devices.

The Huawei Mate 8 also looks ready to fulfill the needs of the mobile phone gamers with the ARM Mali-T880 that will most probably be joined by a i7 coprocessor and Tensilica Hi-Fi 4 audio chip. The Huawei Mate 8 will come packed with 3GB/4GB of RAM, and will have 32GB/64GB of internal storage to offer.

The rumor mill also have it that the preliminary price tag of the very impressive Huawei Mate 9 phablet will be:

Huawei Mate 8 (4GB RAM): CNY 3,899 ($610)

As for the availability, the Huawei Mate 8 is said to make an official appearance in late November or the first half of December.
