The Indian Smartphone manufacturer Intex has come up with another entry-level Android smartphone, the Intex Aqua Play. The smartphone that is listed in the company website is priced at Rs 3,249 and will be running the Android 5.1 Lollipop and it will be available in black, white, and blue color variants.

The main USP of the Intex Aqua Play smartphone is that it runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is a rarity at such low prices. The Intex Aqua Play supports dual SIM usage and on the front it features a 4 inch TFT display that has a resolution of 480×800 pixels (WVGA). The new Intex Smartphone is powered by a dual-core MediaTek (MTK6572W) processor that is clocked at 1.2GHz and is coupled with 512MB of RAM, which is very less but at this price point one cannot complain.

The Intex Aqua Play has the connectivities of GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n that has hotspot functionality, FM Radio, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/A-GPS and Micro-USB 2.0.

Intex has also pre loaded the smartphone with apps like Cleanmaster, Quikr, NewsHunt, Quikr, Opera mini, and Matrabhasa.

Intex has just launched the Aqua Life III smartphone last week that was priced at Rs. 5,199. and earlier this month they had launched the Intex Cloud Swift at Rs. 8,888, which was a Snapdeal exclusive. With this smartphone Intec had also offered the 1-year screen breakage warranty.

The Intex Aqua Play is aimed at the section of normal mobile phone users who want to enter in the Smartphone league but are very tight on their budget. I see no other section of the Indian Smartphone market opting for the Intex Aqua Play.
