Micromax Launches New Bolt Smartphones: Micromax once again targeting the entry-level Smartphone market in India has released new ‘Bolt’ series smartphones in India. Expanding the Bolts Series, Micromax has released four news phones – Micromax Bolt S302, Bolt D303, Bolt Q331 and Bolt Q338. All these four Smartphones are priced under Rs. 6,499.

The Micromax Bolt S302 and Micromax Bolt D303 will retail at the price of Rs. 3,199 and the Micromax Bolt Q331 and Micromax Bolt Q338 will cost Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 6,499. With the new low-cost smartphones, Micromax is targeting customers at the entry-level.

All these new Micromax Bolt Smartphones will come  pre loaded with a translator app, Firstouch, which will help people in translating from English to their preferred local languages and contrariwise. With that the Firsttouch will also help the user to access Apps in App Bazaar in the language which is preferable to them.

WhatsApp has also partnered with Micromax to offer its users free WhatsApp or they can instead avail Rs. 40 talk time per month on their Airtel mobile for the first five months.


The Micromax Bolt Q331 sports a 5 inch, 480×854 pixels resolution, and display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. The disappointment is that it still runs the older Android KitKat. It offers a 2000 mAh battery and clicks pictures with 5 MP camera on the back and 2 MP selfie camera. It offers dual SIM and 3G usage options.


The Micromax Bolt Q338 also features a 5 inch HD display. On the camera front it has an 8 MP camera with auto focus on the back and a 5 MP fixed focus camera on the front. The phone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor that is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The phone runs the Android Lollipop OS.


The Micromax Bolt S302 sports a smaller 4 inch screen of 480×800 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by a 1 GHz single core processor and a 1450 mAh battery powers it. The phone has a small 2 MP camera on the rear and a 1.3 MP camera on the front. The device only has 512 MB of RAM and the cameras are too of fixed focus.


The Micromax Bolt D303 has a 4 inch 480 x 800 pixel resolution screen and is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor. A 1300 mAh battery powers the Bolt D303 which has a 3.2 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera with 512 MB of RAM.
