The most premium upcoming smartphone in the Galaxy A series of smartphones from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy A9 recently passed the FCC checkpoint, but the certificates of FCC did not mention much detail about the upcoming smartphone. A user on the Chinese social networking website Weibo had also posted leaked images and specifications of the handset. Added to these Zauba, which looks after the Indian Export/Import data confirmed the screen size.

After all these leaks and rumors, we get some solid and trustworthy information about the Samsung Galaxy A9 as the smartphone passes through TENAA, the Chinese certification site. The TEENA listings now reveal the images and specifications of the handset, which are in line with the rumored specs and images we saw earlier.

According to the TENAA listings, the Samsung Galaxy A9 measures 161.7 × 80.9 × 7.4 mm and carries a weight of 200gms only, with this, it sports a large 6 inch super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 620 processor, clocked at 1.8GHz. The eight cores include 4x Cortex-A72 and other 4x Cortex-A53 cores, this is coupled with the Adreno 510 GPU. The Galaxy A9 will be packed with 3GB of RAM space and 32GB of internal storage, the smartphone will also feature a microSD slot, using which the storage space can be expanded up to 128GB. In the camera department, the camera will house a 13 MP primary sensor on the rear and a 8 MP sensor on the front.

The Galaxy A9 will run the Android v5.1.1 Lollipop OS and it will probably be packed with 4,000 mAh battery, the information about the battery has not been included in the TENAA listings. The smartphone will feature 4G LTE Cat.7 connectivity and the other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, USB etc.

The smartphone will be available in the color variants of Gold, white, etc. The home button on the front will incorporate a fingerprint scanner.

The other smartphones of the Galaxy A series – Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A8 had already been launched a few days back and soon the Galaxy A9 will also join list.

After having passed the hurdles of FCC and TENAA, the Galaxy A9 will most probably be unveiled next month at CES 2016.
