The Chinese smartphone manufacturer does not come up with many smartphones in a year but they are presently readying themselves for the launch of the successor to the last years Zopo Speed 7 Plus, which might be dubbed as the Zopo Speed 8 and this smartphone may be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Event, 2016 that will be held at the end of February. The Zopo Speed 8 phone is possibly set to become the smartphone to feature a deca-core Mediatek processor.
There were other contenders (like Meizu) for the first Mediatek Helio X20 smartphone but now Zopo have now become the only smartphone manufacturer to come up with an actual release date for their deca-core smartphone. Zopo has officially confirmed their launch of the Zopo Speed 8, which will be powered by a Helio X20 processor, at MWC on 24th February.
Zopo Speed 8 Might Be the First Smartphone With 10-Core Helio X20 Soc
The Zopo Speed 8 will most probably feature a metal build and it is expected to feature a QHD display having a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. As mentioned earlier, it will be powered by the all new MediaTek Helio X20 processor, which has proved its power in the recently leaked benchmark tests. The Speed 8 will also house a fingerprint scanner and by the amount of information we have gathered about the smartphone till now it will be placed on the rear of the device. The smartphone is expected to feature 20 MP camera on the back and it will be supported with dual LED and dual tone flash.
ZOPO is among the lesser known smartphone manufacturers from China but they have come up with some decent mid-range smartphones that offer decent specs at an affordable price tag. Earlier this year in August, the company had made its way into India when they launched ZOPO Speed 7, which features an impressive spec sheet for a mid ranger. The company later went on to launch the successor of the Zopo Speed 7, the Zopo Speed 7 Plus, which featured a metal body.
