Best Smartphone 2015 | Top 10 Mobile Phones in India:
The specs keep on changing and the leading brands come with a new flagship each year, therefore it is a dead cert that the list of the top 10 smartphones in India is going to see new entrants every next year too. Therefore, in order to help all the gadget freaks out there to choose their next smartphone we have compiled a list of the 10 best smartphone in India, which are available right now. Things which I have taken into consideration while preparing this list include – the performance (which include factors like processor, RAM, camera) and the price. So the list begins here:
- Samsung Galaxy S6:
After the failure of Samsung’s Galaxy S5, Samsung came up with the Galaxy S6 at The Mobile World Congress, on March 1, 2015 and boy, they have come up with some drool worthy changes and features, which obviously were absent in the dull S5.
The Galaxy S6 is according to many, Samsung’s most interesting handset till date. The screen size (5.1 inches) and the button placement, though same, Samsung has reworked the design with a combination of metal and Gorilla Glass 4, which provides it a completely different look and feel.
The phone comes with an improvement in display that is QHD (2560×1440, 577ppi) now, and the Exynos octa-core processor, RAM goes up by 1 GB, i.e. 3 GB and it is available with an optional 32/64/128 GB of storage. The camera – 16MP, F-1.9, provides amazing picture quality, have features like Real Time HDR and Optical Image Stabilization. With this, comes the benefits of Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and Samsung’s in-house Knox Security System.
Samsung deciding to drop the SD card slot and removable battery, just might trouble a few section of people. The battery is a 2550mAh unit, which supports both Qi and Powermat wireless charging.
This phone is a downright performer and easily surpasses all its competitors.
- One Plus 2:
The One Plus 2, which is a successor to the immensely successful One Plus 1. This phone though does not impress the way its predecessor did but it still is one of the best smartphones available out there.
The Phone shows off a Snapdragon 810 Octa-core processor, paired with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage. The display size remains the same at 5.5-inch, but this time it comes with an in-cell touch technology – IPS LCD, providing better brightness and contrast.
A 3300 mAh powered battery promises to be with you longer. The One Plus 2 phone also becomes the first phone to use a new USB-C type connector, which can be easily plugged in. A 13MP camera with laser auto focusing and optical image stabilization promises the best shots to capture your life moments.
- LG G4:
The latest LG flagship – G4 may not look to stand against the other flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S6 or the Apple iPhone 6 seeing the fact that the phone is loaded with just a hexa-core processor, which makes it look outdated on paper.
Nevertheless, the LG G4 comes with a beautiful display (5.5 inches, 2560x1440ppi), a high end-top performing-superb rear camera and a unique design that looks classy and premium, which makes it feel like a breath of fresh air, places the G4 among the list of the best smartphones available.
In addition, considering the price of LG G4, which is almost Rs. 6000 cheaper than the iPhone 6 makes it a brilliant bet.
- Apple iPhone 6:
You either like it or hate it, but ignoring an Apple product is certainly not possible. Apple unveiled its latest offering last September. The iPhone 6 according to many people, which also includes me, is the best iPhone ever made.
With features like – Retina HD Display – 326ppi pixel density on an ultra thin IPS display, an Ion strengthened screen, 2nd generation 64-Bit processors, Metal, 3D app and game engine, M8, Motion co-processor health chip, Better battery. Along with 3 times faster Wi-Fi, 8MP camera that comes with True Tone flash 1.5 micron pixel sensor, Burst selfie front-facing camera and last but certainly not the least iOS 8 that will soon be upgradable to the much anticipated iOS 9. All this certainly makes the Apple iPhone 6 one of the best available smartphones in India. However, it is sad that we Indians still have to wait to use the newest feature of the iPhone family – The Apple Pay.
- Moto Turbo:
The Moto Turbo from Motorola is truly among the best value for money smartphones available in India. With a 5.2-inch AMOLED, Gorilla Glass 3 display (1,440-x-2,560, 565 PPI), it is the self-proclaimed “sharpest display of any smartphone”. The Phone comes with behavior-detecting software, in the looks department it offers an unrivalled dual-tone polished edge, the phone also comes with Fingerprint Scan to strengthen its security department.
The phone has a 5.20 inches QHD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. The M9 Plus runs on a MediaTek X10 Helio 2.2 GHz Octa Core processor.
The main standout feature of the M9 Plus is its build and the premium look.
- ASUS ZenFone 2:
Asus who entered in the smartphone market with its ZenFone Series, has done a brilliant job by loading their latest offering, the Asus ZenFone 2 with large number of top end features.

This phone is packed with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor (64 bit) and 2GB of RAM allowing the user to perform even the very demanding tasks easily.
