The Chinese Internet company LeTV is all set to set its foot in the Indian smartphone market and they are arriving in just within two weeks time. LeTV has already sent out media invites for a press event of LeTV Le 1S Smartphone that is scheduled for the 5th January, which will take place in the New Delhi.
The company was founded in the year 2004, and just within a period of ten years, it branched into the fields of cloud computing, live streaming, e-commerce, and others. The company entered into the smartphone business earlier this year by launch its first smartphone dubbed as ‘Superphone’ in China. Till now the company has an array of around four smartphones in its arsenal – Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le Max and Le 1s and now the company has realised the importance of the Indian market and decided to bring their devices to India. LeTV is already hosting its city based Le MeetUps for reaching out to its fans and growing its fan base in the country.
LeTV Entering India on 5th January with LeTV Le 1S Smartphone
There has been no information about which smartphone will be the first one to be launched here but according the rumors doing the rounds, it will be the LeTV Le 1S that was first unveiled two months before in China and since then it has sold record number in the country.
Speaking more about the smartphone, the LeTV Le 1S features a metal unibody that measures 151.1 x 74.2 x 7.5mm and is 169 grams in weight. The phone flaunts a 5.5 inch display with Full HD resolution. In the insides, the smartphone is powered by 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 processor, which is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of native storage.
The smartphone has a 13MP primary camera sensor on the rear with features such as phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and has f/2.0 aperture and on the front it has a 5MP selfie camera. The LeTV Le 1S runs its own UI on top of Android v5.1 Lollipop. The Le 1S is backed up with a 3,000mAh battery and offers extra features such as IR Blaster and a Remote Control app. The smartphone is competitively priced at just CNY 1099 that approximately translates to Rs 11,000.
