OKWU, a new Indian-based startup has launched it’s very first smartphone dubbed as OKWU Pi along with a new accessory called as U-Tag. The smartphone is valued and touted to be the budget-friendly smartphone that comes under the Rs. 6000 fragments with all required top-notch specifications. The handset comes with a U-Tag, a new Bluetooth accessory that can be connected to your belongings and devices like a car key, iPod, etc. The tagged belongings can be located by using a buzzer at close range and will be indicated through alerts on Pi phone. The U-Tag price is set at Rs. 990 and has to be bought separately.
Coming to the OKWU Pi specifications and features. The handset has a 5-inches HD IPS Display having a resolution of 1280*720 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor. On the software front, the GSM-based mobile phone runs on Android 6.0 based Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
For the storage, the dual SIM based smartphone houses an 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot expansion and is coupled with a 1GB of RAM. Additionally, the handset features a fingerprint sensor on the back to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds and can store up to 10 fingerprints.
Concerning to the photography department, the OKWU Pi camera section is equipping a dual camera setup at the back. At the back panel on the board, it houses an 8-megapixel camera with a LED flash along with a 2MP snapper for capturing the sharp images. On the other hand, it bears a 2-megapixel camera on the front end for the selfies and video calling.
To power the entire smartphone, it is packed up with a 2000mAh built-in battery. For the connectivity, it includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. The handset is 6.5 mm thick and weighs 138 grams. It will be available in Gold and Rose Gold color variants. The OKWU Pi price is set at Rs. 5,999 and the pre-booking starts from 27th November 2016.
