Reliance Jio will be launched its 4G services on 27th December but this time, it will be just for its employees and it will see a commercial roll out somewhere around April 2016. With the introduction of its 4G services in India, Reliance is also preparing to come up with four ranges of 4G VoLTE smartphones that will be branded as ‘LYF’. But what we have learnt now is that Reliance Jio is not going to limit itself to just smartphones but it is also preparing to launch tablets.
Just two days before the launch of 4G services for the employees, the picture of a tablet branded as LYF under Reliance Jio has surfaced, which carries a model number of – FXFL 7008. As it can be seen in the picture, the LYF Tablet flaunts a metal body and frame that has a brushed finish. The tablet has a camera module on the top left corner of the back and two speaker grille openings at the bottom. The tablet also has an ‘LYF’ branding on the back.

Let us have a looks at the specifications and features of the LYF FXFL 7008, the tablet features a 7-inch display on the front that has a resolution of 600 × 1024 pixels and a pixel density if 159 dpi. The tablet will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 processor, which is clocked at clocked at 307 MHz and coupled with 1GB of RAM space and Adreno 304 GPU for graphics. The tablet has 16GB of inbuilt storage and whether if the tablet will have a microSD slot remains to be seen.
The Reliance Jio LYF Tablet houses a primary camera as well as a secondary camera on the front but the megapixel count of these camera sensors remain unknown. The tablet is going to feature connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS and it is expected to run the Android v5.1.1 Lollipop.
The Reliance Jio’s LYF branded smartphones and hopefully the tablet too are expected to see a December 27 launch and it has also been learnt that the company is in talks with many online retailers such as Amazon India, Flipkart, and Snapdeal to sell their range of smartphones and tablets.
